Salah satu aliran musik yang saya sukai yaitu indie, baru-baru ini band indie yang personilnya berasal dari Pontianak, yaitu Captain Jack Band, yang sudah mengeluarkan miniEP album terbaru berjudul “Fall of concept”…ini merupakan album kedua dari band yang personilnya kebetulan saya tau si Andi drummer, kemaren sempat manggung di Audit UNTAN. kapan-kapan kita ngopi lagi di Gajah Mada, ha..ha..ha..By the way Pada album ini kelihatannya musik yang mereka bawa benar-benar menunjukan kualitas permainan mereka yang begitu kental dengan beat, distorsi, synthesizer dan screaming dari “The N” (kang Novan) dengar saja track seperti “Hati Hitam,” “Pengkhianat” yang kalau boleh disamakan mirip-mirip dengan Saosin dan KillSwitch Engage. Tapi, Captain Jack is diferrent, I’m what i’m and i do what i do, teriak si Momo. Btw, ada monster di album barunya CJ ini. ya, judulnya Monster.

Rangkaian lirik yang sangat berisi dan penuh makna dipadu dengan distorsi dari guitarnya si zuhdil, sesekali suara keyboard+synth dari si ismet mengiringi dan memberi nuansa electric dan rhythm harmony bersatupadu dengan dentuman Beat 450 DB dari si “babon” (Andi) tidak lupa di setiap akhir bait lagu diisi dengan teriak lantang (screaming) dari “The N” (novan) yang juga memberi beat tambahan yang kental dari Bass yang dimainkannya.

Kualitas sound yang dihasilkan dari lagu-lagu yang mereka bawakan pada album ini, bagus sekali mixingnya. TOP abess, kadang juga suara Momo yang mendayu-dayu mirip Aaron lewis (Staind) membuat lagu “Postcard untuk Tuhan” yang saya harap bisa dibuatkan video klipnya, menjadi lagu favorit saya pribadi, selain “Pahlawan” di album pertama mereka.

Buruan beli album baru Captain jack ini, maju terus band Indie pontianak……
